Sometimes she just needs to hear you say it.


She sits on the edge of the bed gripping at her knees pulling them tight to her chest.

He stands leaning against the door jam, watching her.

Tears roll down her face, landing heavy against her exposed flesh. Sobs wracking through her body. Not noticing his presence.

He slowly moves closer. Closing the painful distance that engulfs them.

He kneels before her, taking her hands in his. Slowly he brings them to his lips. Gentle kissing and nipping at each digit.

She looks at him desperately through tear smudged mascara.

He leans up and kisses each of her red swollen eyes. And rest back on his heels, sighs deeply and says.
